Terms of Service for Alabama Plumbing Pros in Alabama
What Low Pressure Repair Covers
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to low water pressure inspection and repair work Alabama Plumbing Pros agrees to perform. Depending on the written estimate, work may include pressure diagnosis, checking accessible plumbing and pressure-control equipment, and repairing or replacing agreed components.
Work outside the estimate requires a separate agreement. Hidden damage, inaccessible pipes, utility-side problems, and unrelated plumbing are not included unless added in writing.
Work requiring a permit will proceed subject to applicable requirements, including Montgomery permits for regulated work and locally adopted International Plumbing Code amendments. Alabama plumbing contractor licensing requirements apply to regulated plumbing work.
Under IPC Section 604.8, a pressure-reducing valve is required where applicable when pressure exceeds 80 psi. Public water-system lead and copper obligations are generally administered under EPA rules and are not a substitute for a customer’s repair agreement.
Septic-system work is excluded unless separately agreed and must meet applicable Alabama Department of Environmental Management and public health requirements. Montgomery County Building and Construction Codes Division and relevant state agencies may have authority depending on the project.
Appointment Changes and Arrival Plans
Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method confirmed by Alabama Plumbing Pros. We will provide an expected service window when scheduling, but arrival times may change because of earlier jobs, traffic, weather, emergencies, or parts availability. Please provide accurate access instructions and ensure an adult with authority to approve the work can meet the technician.
If you need to cancel or move an appointment, notify us as soon as possible using the contact details below. Any cancellation charge or missed-visit fee must be disclosed and agreed before it applies; these terms do not create an undisclosed fee.
If inspection shows that the requested repair differs from the original description, we will explain the change and seek approval before doing additional work. A scope change means a change to the tasks, materials, or price agreed in the estimate.
You may decline added work, though that may limit the repair or require a new appointment. Delays or cancellations caused by unsafe access or conditions may also require rescheduling.
Written Estimates and Payment Terms
Before work begins, Alabama Plumbing Pros will explain the proposed repair and provide an estimate or other price information appropriate to the job. An estimate is based on conditions visible at the time of inspection; concealed damage, unavailable parts, or changed site conditions may affect the final scope and cost. We will explain proposed changes and obtain your approval before performing additional chargeable work, except where immediate action is necessary to address an urgent safety concern and applicable law permits it.
The estimate or work authorization will state when payment is due and which payment methods are accepted. Please review those details before approving the job.
If no separate payment date is stated, payment is due when the agreed work is completed. You are responsible for charges you approved, including any separately disclosed permit or material costs.
Do not rely on an oral change that conflicts with a written estimate; ask for the revised scope and price in writing. No specific price or financing offer is promised by these terms.
Questions about an invoice should be raised promptly so the work and agreed charges can be reviewed.
Written Warranty Details
Alabama Plumbing Pros will describe any workmanship warranty that applies to a particular repair in the estimate, invoice, or a separate written warranty. These terms do not create a warranty duration or coverage that has not been provided in writing.
Ask for the applicable document before authorizing work if warranty details matter to your decision. Manufacturer warranties for parts are separate and may be governed by the manufacturer’s terms.
Unless a written warranty says otherwise, coverage does not extend to unrelated plumbing, pre-existing defects, normal wear, misuse, lack of maintenance, freezing, water quality, utility conditions, or later work by others. Unauthorized alterations to the repaired area may affect coverage where they cause or contribute to the reported problem.
To request service under a written warranty, contact us with your invoice and a description of the issue, and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived. Any specific written warranty controls over this general explanation if the two conflict.
Responsibility for Repair Risks
To the extent permitted by law, Alabama Plumbing Pros’ responsibility for a claim arising directly from the agreed repair is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not responsible for conditions that existed before service, concealed defects, failures in unrelated systems, or damage caused by factors outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Plumbing work must follow applicable Alabama contractor licensing requirements, permits, and locally adopted code amendments. Regulated work in Montgomery may require approval through the applicable permit process.
IPC Section 604.8 addresses pressure-reducing valves where water pressure exceeds 80 psi. These requirements do not guarantee that concealed or pre-existing conditions will be found during a limited visit.
Public water system obligations under EPA lead and copper rules are distinct from private repair work. Septic systems are outside this pressure-repair scope unless separately agreed and subject to applicable Alabama requirements.
